- The principal of build my company website is Richard W Mulholland and he was forced into computing in 1991 when required by his manager to set up a works computer training programme
- Richard asked where the 'on-off switch' was on the new 'sitting in the corner, never been used, dusty & clunky machine' his boss had even less ideas on computing than Richard and told him to 'find it'
- A training programme was quickly set up using the time honoured method of Richard instructing junior personnel who were at that time using Amstrad computers to carry out the work and present him the course notes no later than the night before each training session
- The programme was successful and used for other branches of the organisation
- Richard has since that date learnt a little more and carries out all the work himself these days
- Our regeneration and Chamber of Commerce work brings us into contact with numerous startup businesses who would benefit from having a website
- The high cost and general lack of support from existing website providers are difficult to overcome by these new companies
- We realised there was a need for an affordable and supportive website provider who could also guide the business owner to choose the correct type and effective website layout
